Dr Douglas Board is an executive coach and an expert on leadership and governance. Until 2024 he was a member of the King’s Counsel Selection Panel, which grants the most prestigious award for senior advocates in England and Wales. He has a doctorate in the selection of people for senior roles. His book ‘The Blindspot’ published in London in 2026 draws on the concept of ubuntu in a revelatory analysis of knowledge about power. He divides his time between Johannesburg and London.
James Campbell is Managing Director of Botswana Minerals plc.
He has spent over 40-years in the diamond and minerals industry in a variety of roles. Previous roles include Managing Director of Botswana Diamonds plc, Chief Executive Office and President of Rockwell Diamonds Inc, Non-Executive Director of Stellar Diamonds plc, Vice President – New Business for Lucara Diamond Corp, Managing Director of African Diamonds plc and Executive Deputy Chairman of West African Diamonds plc.
Prior to that James spent over twenty years at De Beers, with notable appointments including General Manager for Advanced Exploration and Resource Delivery and Nicky Oppenheimer’s Personal Assistant.
James holds a degree in Mining and Exploration Geology from the Royal School of Mines (Imperial College, London University) and an MBA with distinction from Durham University. James is a Fellow of the Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Materials, South African Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, Geological Society of South Africa and Institute of Directors of South Africa.
He is also a Chartered Engineer (UK), Chartered Scientist (UK) and a Professional Natural Scientist (RSA). As part of his social commitment to South Africa, James is the Chairman of Common Purpose SA.
He is currently pursuing a doctorate in junior mining entrepreneurship through the Da Vinci Institute.
Tricia Sibbons is an experienced, certified coach and capacity-builder specialising in emerging leadership across Sub Saharan Africa, particularly in the non-profit sector and creative industries.
She has a Masters in International Development (UL/UK), a post-grad qualification in Strategy (Ashridge-Hult/UK) and in Monitoring and Evaluation (ERA, Stellenbosch/SA). She qualified as a coach in 2021.
Tricia most recently led the UK campaigning charity Action for Southern Africa (formerly the British Anti-Apartheid Movement), in developing a new strategy for solidarity with regional partners to address structural inequalities in economic, social and legal systems in Southern Africa. Tricia lives and works between Johannesburg and London. She is a trustee of the Jonas Gwangwa Heritage Foundation, SA and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, UK.
Sandra has extensive experience in the whole spectrum of human and organisational development. An industrial psychologist, she leads psychometric and leadership assessment services.
Her passion is using simulations and Assessment Centres for developmental purposes. She truly beliefs that every human being has much potential locked within them and that it is one of the life-long purposes of each human to explore and discover his/her own potential. She is committed to enabling people to explore and discover their potential.
On an organisational level, she is committed to enabling organisations to be employee-centric, to appoint the appropriate people into positions and to develop their employees to their full potential. A specific focus area is leader-manager development.
